"Stephen Harper's Conservatives have the right to seek advice from whomever they want, but they would be wise to seek broader counsel on a subject such as the long-gun registry."

By people who support the Registry, they must feel Toronto is under represented.

I made a complaint to the Ontario Press Council last year about the Record's editorials about gun control, because they kept misrepresenting the gun registry as simply a "list of people who own guns" instead of a "list of people who own guns and a list of the guns that they own".

We managed to resolve the complaint, and they've clarified their statements more. But, they do have the right to their opinions, like any of us.

The problem comes when they represent their opinions as facts.
