Saw one right close to the Faro turnoff from the Robert Campbell Highway a couple years back.

No shortage of Grizzlies there, just may not see them on the road all the time.

Several years ago a friend met up with a sow black bear down here in Colo. She came out of the brush right in front of him. He stopped to keep from hitting her and she stood at the grill on her hind legs a bit then climbed on the hood of his Ford P/up. Thinking she might break the windshield he backed up suddenly and dumped her, then took off while she was still rolling to the side of the road. I thought it was funny. I saw some scratches on the hood so I believed the guy.
