leemar282011 B.C. Spring Bear Hunt
After working hard to get my Nephew through collage. My Brother suggested that He and I do a hunt in the near future. Sam Graduated from Plymouth State in May. The 1st of June saw my Bro and I in B.C. We hunted with Kevin Bracewell's B.C. Trophy mtn outfitters. I must say it was a 1st class hunt. lodging was excellent, as was the food, and staff.
The lodge At Trophy MTN Outfitters.
We got there and met our guide Todd Christy.
Todd is a hard hunting great to be with guy. He had just skinned this Bear taken by a hunter earlier that day.
Todd Christy (don't pay any attention to the dates on the pic's. It's all I can do to get the damn thing to work!)
The 1st day we saw lots of Grizzly and some smaller Black bears of different color phase. I won the toss for 1st shot. That evening a fair Black showed himself and I took him. 1 shot and bang flop. Rifle is a Ruger 77 300 win mag with a Swarovski scope, and my handloads of Imr 4350 and a Barnes 180 TSX.
Saw lots of Bears but kept passing on them. Day 3 we made a stalk on a nice Blonde, and my Brother had his ! Rifle is a Ruger 77 30-06 (Thanks Dirk Lawyer)with a Zeiss scope, and Federal ammo with Barnes 165 TSX. Another bang flop.
Looks happy dosent he. He called his wife that evening to up date her on the hunt and all she wanted to know was "will it go with the carpet!)
Being a 2 bear area we started looking again. I wanted a cinnemon, or a Blonde. The next morning we found this Chocolate Boar. he was good enough for me ! 1 more shot, and 1 more Bear.
Pete passed up several more bear and was satisfied with the nice blonde.
We also saw lots of Mtn Goats, and lots of Grizzly !!! The whole hunt was a great adventure and I have only great things to say about the Outfitter and our guide.
Hang on TITE !!

Why do you care? Are you preparing a rant so you can tie into him for shooting "your" animals, like you do with all the other" yanks"?
I really can't figure you out bud, time for a change of meds perhaps, that bipolar disorder is really rearing its ugly head again.
To the OP:
Nice pictures and glad you had a good time.

I might ask why a "guide" in Manitoba, cares about what we do here in BC? Maybe, in your sadly obvious stupidity, you think that you can attract business from Yanks away from BC to your operation?
So, "pissandmoan", kindly keep your snout in your own affairs and STFU!
I'm not a guide in Manitoba, but nice try.
Back on the meds tonight?
I will gladly STFU, as requested, if what's posted below was not originally posted by you:

Here, in BC, the movement to preserve our hunting for ourselves is growing rapidly and some direct action will take place later this year.
We need INTERNATIONAL trade, not domination by the greedy and arrogant Yankees

Every time that the same group of Yankees here brings this topic up, I lose a little more respect for Americans and come closer to becoming far more aggressive in dealing with Yankee anglers and hunters here. With the next government in BC, we shall see just what happens concerning Yankees and access to our resources, including hunting and fishing.......

But, that really doesn't matter, the crux of this matter is that YOU are a loudmouthed Yankee whom I do not want in my country and many of us are now involved in the politics of ending American hunting/fishing here.
The BC Wildlife Federation, of which I am a former executive member has and is attempting to restrict American hunting/fishing here in BC and we WILL do so, wait and see. Change takes time and is never as precise as one would like, but, you illiterate redneck peckerwood, you WILL be banned from access to Canadian wildlife, fish and probably other resources MUCH sooner than you seem to think.
If, this is ...an insult..., why, that is just too, too bad, "turn about is fair play", EH?

pg3285Norton - I will second my brother's opinions of the hunt we had, it's quality, the target rich environment of the Chilcontin Mtn. area, and the great people we had the pleasure of hunting with. I live just west of Nashua a couple towns, and while we're seeing more bears here than ever (a sow and 2 cubs were spotted by a buddy of mine in a completley urban area here at lunch time today), I have never seen the likes of bears - griz and black, and all color phases of black - plus other game species - that we saw in BC. Like my (much OLDER) brother,
I just can't say enough in recommendation of this outfit. And yes, my son graduated, cum laude, from Plymouth State U. and I'm as proud of him as the bear. Damn good thing he finished when he did, the tuition hikes that came down this year would've eaten about the same dough as this hunt! One last thing, when flipping a coin with a (much OLDER) brother to see who shoots first, never let him provide the coin and call it both. You'd think, after 50 years,
I'd remember that bloody two headed coin of his.

leemar28I really started this thread to share a hunt in B.C. that was a pretty important event for my Brother ,and I. It was never intended to cause such childish behavior. All the insult's and name calling should be saved for some place else. Maybe there should be a "Bashing,&Insult" forum for those that like to behave that way.

Dewey typically tells Americans to stay out of Canada, away from HIS game. Some of us are tired of his rhetoric.
Sorry to tread on your thread.
