Bighorns in Alberta
Anyone hunted bighorns in Alberta? I see a lot of ads for this and Cabelas sells a couple of hunts here. Any comments from someone who has been?

Lots of Albertans on this forum have hunted bighorns in Alberta, and are in the process of hunting right now.

A look at the trophy books will show you that AB has produced some whopper rams.

I'm just about the newest kid on the block as far as hunting the rams goes, so very tentatively I would advise you to find an outfitter that goes in deep, to weed out the likes of me, that can hunt within two hours drive from home. I'm not afraid to hike in for 10 miles or so, and others take horses in even further. I'm sure some of the guys here know of a few good outfitters. I know some, but I've never hunted with any so I'll refrain from recommending first off.

I have hunted with Skip Selk of Selks Alberta Bighorns and I was very impressed.He knows his area very well and is absolutely incredible at judging rams.

Hello;
You're probably too late for this year, so you got lot's of time to plan for next year. A couple of sheep outfitters, Bobby Turner out of Cochrane and J.W. Campbell out of Didsbury. Of course, there's Cambell's ex, Edith Nagy, who is also good, but I don't know where she's at.
