I have a friend that is hell bent on Caribou hunting and has the bucks to go but don't know crap about it and where and when to go.

I've been to Shefferville with Jack Hume & Co and had a good time but told him that most folks recommend the NWT.

He is a bow hunter but could be reformed to using a rifle as well.

Where should he go?

Try Mackenzie Mountain Outfitters. I just returned and "rumor" has it that a couple of caribou in the +400 area were taken. Have not seen the pics so cannot confirm. I was in camp with a couple of docs trying to stick a bou and they were unsuccessful with the bow but did get their bou with the rifle. Just be very selective as they have plenty of giant ones.
