vapodogBarren ground Caribou hunting question
I have a friend that is hell bent on Caribou hunting and has the bucks to go but don't know crap about it and where and when to go.
I've been to Shefferville with Jack Hume & Co and had a good time but told him that most folks recommend the NWT.
He is a bow hunter but could be reformed to using a rifle as well.
Where should he go?

ArcticYou can send him to us and rest assured we'll look after him to the best of our ability. After 40 years up here and over 25 taking hundreds of hunters, I know of few complaints. Send an email to arctic.safaris at nt.sympatico.ca and we'll get him a full info package.
I'm sure someone else can fill you in on our qualifications as I won't on the forum.

muygrandeTry Mackenzie Mountain Outfitters. I just returned and "rumor" has it that a couple of caribou in the +400 area were taken. Have not seen the pics so cannot confirm. I was in camp with a couple of docs trying to stick a bou and they were unsuccessful with the bow but did get their bou with the rifle. Just be very selective as they have plenty of giant ones.
