I've never even HEARD of non-indians hunting on Indian land.

Or are you inferring that it's ALL Indian land, all of Canada, and we are "trepassers"?? That, in itself has some pretty strong racist tones.

Indians have a few of their own racists, Like David Ahenakew, whom was recently quoted expressing praise for Hitler and how he "fried" Jews.

Ahenakew was also ranting about "all these god-damn immigrants"

meaning anyone who wasn't an Indian. He made it very clear in the same speech that he considered all other races iferior to Indians.

Class act.

The natives are also immigrants.

'natives' can hunt on public land but public can't hunt on native land.
I have found indians to be the most racist people on earth.
Back to the topic, we walk the game trails and cutlines till we find where moose have been feeding. Then get up early and try to get to that feeding area quietly before light and wait. If no luck we may do a drive in the area.
Sometimes road hunting works too. This fall we saw 17 moose in 5 days of hunting. Only 3 bulls over 2 yr. but plenty of cow/calf pairs even 2 with twin calves that were still alive on the last day of the season.Plenty of moose in the freezer.Mark

We call moose in the breeding season. We saw 13 moose on the short ride to the rifle range, 2 of them were on the range when we got there. There are tons of moose handy to town.
