jro45338 RUM
The 338 RUM will take down a moose or a brown bear with a 225 Accubond. Has anyone done this?

Mighty PeaceShould for sure! I seen pics of a large bull elk taken with the same cailber and 200gr Accubonds-one shot kill pass thru. Good sized entrance wound...HUGE exit. Same results with my 270WSM with 140gr Accubonds and my 300WM with 180gr Accubonds knocks down moose and black bears , along with elk and deer here in Alberta. Now once I develope a load for my new 338-06 AI with 225gr Accubonds, I bet its the same results....bang..flop...meat on the table.

BaDonkaDonkMy god I should hope it would knock it down. If not sell your gun and take up knitting. Just kidding. A friend of mine runs a 338 RUM and knocks the hell out of big moose all the time. I shoot accubonds in my 378 and I like them. Good luck and good hunting.

PoppaWHey Donk you know those AB's are no good and you need TSX's in order to REALLY kill with a little gun like the 338 RUM. All joking aside I know a 140gr AB from a 7mm will kill moose and I had a 338 Rum and the power was amazing. I had a box of AB's and sold the gun before I tried them. The guy BaDonkaDonk is talking about has them so hopefully he will load them soon cuz he will kill with them.
Good luck.
