I assume you are crossing at Haines and re-entring at Beaver Creek. It won't be an issue at Haines, but without some way of proving origin you will not be allowed to transport any meat from a ruminant back into the USA. Heck I had to wolf down a pastrami sandwich at the crossing a few months ago in front of the CBP agents rather than getting it confiscated. Your best bet would be to freeze it and ship

Yup, the problem is with the US authorities not abiding by the rules. We won the case in the world(?) Court but a lower US court went the other way and guess what, our ranchers still suffer and US citizens still get burned by their own feds.
Not that I think that the US feds alone are evil, I don't much like any polititions. Roll Eyes derf

There should be a border crssing at Haines Junction instead of beaver creek and haines. Its a big pain in the butt already to cross with dogs and guns. Its a pain in the butt to go from Alaska to Alaska should not be that way.
