SouthpawDVRe: Deer Hunting
Every where in Alberta has an excellent deer herd, although the densities are not what most prople from South of the 49th are use to. I would look at the thread in this section outlining how some landowners are refusing access to Americans because of the BSE crisis. The region you do speak of is a mix of farm land and crown (puplic)land so you may not have any land owner issues.
Good luck and shoot straight.

HunterJimOldGuns,
The outfitters I have talked to say that there have been five years without a hard winter and a high winter kill, so there are a lot of mature animals out there just waiting to meet you!

Good luck and good hunting...jim

PapershredderI,ve saw a few nice bucks but most of the big guys seem to have went noctural. We just got about 4" of snow here in the mountians; hopefully between the snow and the rut coming fast they'll get moving again. Good luck.
