umzingeleBirdshooting in BC
I am planning a trip to BC next year Sept/October. Mostly touring with my wife but would like to get in a couple of days bird shooting - any reccomendation on best time of year and outfitters, especially for waterfowl.

SkylineI would concentrate looking in the Vanderhoof area or over in the Peace Region around Dawson Creek. Call up the Guide Outfitters of British Columbia website and there are lists of members. That should help you narrow it down.
Typically best time is in early October.
Cheers!

Angus MorrisonFortunately for you, your interests are simple. You can hunt small game in BC without a guide and unaccompanied as a non-resident, you only need to fill out this application and submit it along with your payment. Any questions on how just shoot happy to help.
I know some great pheasant operations, they raise and release pheasants, some you need your own dog some you don't. Then there's just cruising the logging roads for grouse with a backroads mapbook, that's free.
