North of Elliot Lake is a lot of Ontario - almost half the province.

I took a 54" bull near Geraldton in 2006. Another hunter in our camp took a 56" near Huntsville 2 years ago. Plenty of good bulls all over the province, though I think 60" would be exceptional.

Ya some good ones, but far from what you can normally expect.......... correct me if I am wrong. But I think a more realistic expectation might be low to mid 40's if you get a bull.

Yes , 45 and 50 in. are more common, 60 plus would be exceptional. Largest i have seen was 63 1/2 in. shot by an American in 1968 at White River, Ontario.

We have both sub-species of Canada moose in Ontario. If you're talking the Elliott Lake area, you'll likely run into eastern moose, which are smaller than western moose, and their usual antler configuration doesn't measure up as well under the B&C system.

A good big eastern moose will probably weigh in the 1200 pound range (on-the-hoof), will have a rack in the mid 40s and will score in the 150 to 160 range.
