Wolf Hunting in Canada
ok so I have read that Wolf hunting is legal in Canada, is this so, I hadrly ever see info on it here in the states, where could i get to a forum with some dicsussion, I would love to know who is a good outfitter in Canada as I would be very interested in going after one! Anyone actually taken one and have pics of the mount, what gun would I use etc? would a 270 be over kill? Just right etc

Until recently, there were still bounties paid for wolves. (maybe there still are some places)
Ia a 270 over kill? depends, lots of guys use their deer rifle, but I think cartridges like the 22-250, 223, and 243 are more common depending on where you're hunting.
Hunting wolves is not legal everywhere, so have to check the local regs.

There are lots of good outfitters that do wolf hunts. Here is one with a great rep...

Lone Wolf Outfitting

Any deer rifle will do. Some guys use smaller calibres to minimize holes in the pelt.

Cheers,

guys thanks for the replies

Frans you have a PM back check it and send me an email, Canuck thanks for the link, have you worked with them personally?

Arctic, which mounts are yours spicifically, I like a few of them but a couple look somewhat too staged for me, I love the dominance display the best !
