Ontario or Quebec Black Bear Outfitter
Anyone able to recommend an outfitter in either Ontario or Quebec for a fall black bear hunt in 2014? Ideally an outfitter capable of hosting a group of hunters and an outfitter with trophy size bear in their area.

Do you want to watch a pile of donouts or spot and stalk?

Depends if I were to go alone or go with a group of friends. If alone spot and stalk or doughnut watching are fine, if with a group doughnut watching.

I don't believe that, alot of places in BC you would have more alot more fun and all tag out on nice bears and have to sit over bait. heck I can tag out a group with my dogs in a week, throw in some spot and stalk and you have a week of non stop action.
Mind you the cost is more and some people frown on exercise, everyone is looking for something different thats foresure.

Doug would give you a great hunt spot and stalk is almost as much fun as running them with dogs and a lot more exciting then baiting them.

Not sure if Quebec allows fall bear , unless they reopened it ? I thought it was spring only ?

Ontario was fall only , with no spring bear .

This was a few years back--so things may have changed .

If you want a really big black bear, go to BC. I hunted with Brad Lister of Coastal Inlet Adventures and saw over 40 bears in 4-5 days. Big bears! He has a website, tell him I sent you.
