DoublessI am sorry to hear this, and hope for a quick apprehension and end to the whole thing.

CoyoteKiller82What really gets me is that not one person tried to help the officers.
One account has a guy banging on a window to alert the officer of the approaching suspect from behind...the officer didn't hear the banging and was shot like he was nothing.
Sad that law abiding gun owners can watch such a thing just because they're afraid of being prosecuted due to draconian gun laws.
If it'd been me watching...it would have been through the scope on my rifle. And you can darn well bet that he'd be the one left lifeless on the street.

.366torqueThe SOB was caught!!
Terrible news!
What drives a person to go out of his way and kill people who have done him no harm?

p dog shooterI always find it interesting that he hasn't shot anybody else.
He was willing to kill 3 but in a target rich environment he didn't shoot any others.
But it is always hard to read the mind of a person like this.
There's been several cases like this over the years.
Where the shooter does his thing then doesn't continue.
He diffidently wasn't hunting after the first five.

Bill/OregonWell, at least they took him alive. Maybe one day we will know what kind of thought processes led him to commit his horrible crime.
There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t.

friarmeierI doubt anyone will ever understand this person's thinking or motivation. I suspect he suffers from mental illness of one sort or another.
As a psychiatrist in my first parish commented (regarding a suicide) "the person's thinking is hay-wired, short-circuited; there's no way of understanding their thinking; and in their own mind, their actions make perfect, rational sense."
From a theological viewpoint, we can say this: evil is real, and people in their sin sometimes enter into collusion with it.
Such is the present world...

Apparently he was very anti-authority. For some reason, he hated police or any of the establishment.

The word is Vendetta. He has some kind of problem with LEO's and he acted upon those feelings.
Condolences to the family and friends of the officers that were slain.

Grizzly AdamsJust another loser.

Don't look for the reason and logic for someone like this. He's NOT normal and his mind doesn't work with normal reason !
Prosecute him for 3 murders ,quickly and with full punishment .Remove him from this world.
