Bwana BundukiAir Canada Missing Rifle...Help
Fellows,
I just returned from Resolut Bay and hunting Polar Bear. My rifle has gone missing with Air Canada and I cannot find any way to talk to a live person in Toronto. All calls are outsourced to India and Toronto won't even respond to them. Any information would be beneficial. Thanks for the help.

calgarychef1I'd call the RCMP and the Canadian Firearms Center. They're so damned worried about guns floating around, this should send them into a tailspin. Tell them how air canada "managed" the transportation of your firearm.

I would call the RCMP, that may the only way to get something done, sure is not working from the Air Canada end.
Good luck.

You gotta be kidding me, chef. I guess you never read my little story in the Canadian Firearms Journal.
But, yes, do call the RCMP... maybe the Eastern boys are a bit more concerned about things like this.

calgarychef1Well when that handgun got dropped in my mailbox without as much as a signature or howdy do from me I thought it was a little strange. You know how very "tight" our security is.

BaDonkaDonkI hope calling the RCMP will work out for you. As of late the RCMP have become quite useless in the eyes of the tax paying people. If the crime doesn't happen in front of them they feel quite reluctant to earn the pay and investigate anything.
I wish you luck on finding your rifle, but I wouldn't put all my eggs in the RCMP basket. Just my 2 cents with respect to RCMP help.
