Barrels no....actions yes. You could not, however, have it sent from the U.S. without some major export hassles on the U.S. side. Within Canada....ship away.

thanks for the reply!
I had just seen a replacement barrel for my
264 winnie from E-R Shaw, and thought that I might be able to have it sent to her in St Johns where I could of collected it from, or she could have sent it to me.
Damn these ITAR regs.

We where offered an exemption but our Prime Minster at that time, Jean Cretin said Canadians don't need that stuff. And yes I spelt his name wrong.

Why not just have Ron Smith in Penticton make the barrel...?

Ron Smith is in Saskatchewan not British Columbia.

There are a good number of barrel makers in Canada to pick from.

https://www.facebook.com/jurycustombarrels is one who produces a very fine product.

Ron Smith is from Alberta, Ted Gaillard is from Saskatchewan.

Yep I stand corrected..

Also, not directly related to this thread but I must mention that one of Canada's best barrel makers died a few weeks ago after a battle with cancer. . Bevan King built a few rifles for me over the years and to say they are accurate would be an understatement. His attention to detail and pride of workmanship was evident in everything he did.

Just had a quick message from Jury Custom Barrels, who has no problem sending barrels to the UK.

Jury barrels will stand beside any major barrel maker. Yes I have used them.

Jury barrels are as good as any, and much better than most, and are single point cut rifled. Absolutely recommended.
