blaser93Half Grizzly and Half Polarbear
Anyone heard that a 1/2 Griz and 1/2 Polar
Bear was shot on Banks Island . Can anyone find Pictures. It was in the news , came a cross my TV screan like a ticker Tape. This was 2 days ago.
Golar and Pizzly post on this site was my first alert. Also, CBC had a contest on what to call the thing. All kinds of names suggested like above.
My name would be Grizzly Cross P, and for a Grizzly and Black Bear cross I would name it Grizzly Cross B.
To find Pic just Google search to (Grizzly and polar bear cross) it should get you to
www.thestar.com or the Toronto Star. They got a pic of Mr. Martell's bear. Looks like a polar with a gray, brown snout.

KeYbonEon this site you can se a picture to
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/4766217.stmMay be another example of global-warming at work. More overlap of ranges as weather warms. I'm surprised this is the first.
I'm still trying to figure out why anyone would pay $45,000 for a bear hunt. My choke point is still around $13,000 for any hunt.
Guess when a male grizzly decides to mate, he does not get much argument from the intended mating partner.

.366torqueExcuse me for "necroposting", but I was watching Predator CSI on NG. NG painted the hunter in a positive light! I was impressed.

Canuck32Saw part of the same show. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when the game wardens found out that they couldn't continue with the charges and had to give the hide and skull back.

If you have that much to fight for, then you should be fighting. The sentiment that modern day ordinary Canadians do not need firearms for protection is pleasant but unrealistic. To discourage responsible deserving Canadians from possessing firearms for lawful self-defence and other legitimate purposes is to risk sacrificing them at the altar of political correctness."

Global warming is all a farce. Look at the history of the earth; from the beginning she has been warming and cooling. Besides, Grizzly and Polar bear territory has overlapped for centuries. Not just in the past few years.
The mount was at SCI Reno in 07, very nicely done. I was told that that would be his last public showing. A shame, it really is a must see in person. Unfortunately, the 07 pictures of the mount are no longer available on the SCI website.
