The chap carried a beer and a 30/30
About 15 years ago, my little brother drove about 500 miles north west of his farm to visit our nephew. The little town nearby is called Valleyview.

One day he and the nephew were walking along in the bush. One fellow carried a lever action rifle (for protection against black bears) and was also toting a beer that he was drinking.

The chap finally asked my brother where he had come from? My brother replied, 'Grassy Lake.'

'Hey,' the guy responded. ' I lived there in 1994.'

My bro thought for a moment and said, ' Yeah. That was the year the grain elevator burned down.'

The man quickly replied, ' They couldn't prove a thing!'
