Mighty PeaceCheck on the Alberta APOS website
APOSand look for outfitters southwest of Grande Prairie, Grande Cache area, Hinton are a few off the top of my head.
If not
Birch Creek Outfitters located in Peace iver, Alberta has good bear hunting but no mountains.
Hope this helps.

DemonicalIf you want mountain scenery, no bait and big bears then you gotta look in B.C.
Spot and stalk black bears in B.C. looks wicked.
I don't know about your dislike for baited hunts. In 2006 in Alberta, 2 hunters, from the same bait site, shot bears that scored 20-12/16" and 22-5/16".
They squared 7'6", 430 lbs and 7'4" and 440 lbs. Both those were spring bears btw...
Those are monster bears.

RackmastrMy buddy runs Fredlund Guide Service along the BC/AB border in BC. He kills some beauty bears, hunts hard, and has a beautiful area.
Great hunts can be had on both sides of the border...for a good mountain spot/stalk hunt, check out Aaron Fredlund's site....

Boy there is a lot of inappropriate hunt pushing.

RackmastrThanks Canuck...thast kinda what I figured...
I'm in no way related to the outfit I suggested...my friend kills big bears and I'd book a hunt with him any day.
I think its a great site for spreading info on reputable outfitters and hunts....
