Unless you have a lathe and milling machine and a myriad of other tools you are best to leave it to a reputable gunsmith.

If you are in B.C. try www.rockymountainrifles.com They do quality work for a reasonable price.Most top end gunbuilders have no interest in building part of the rifle though.They want to do the complete job and will stand behind their product.

I'm going to have to agree, I've been thinking of doing a custom gun off an action I already have, and PGW comes recommended by everyone I've talked to for top-quality work. You don't get to do much yourself, but then again, from what I've been told, these guys can turn a pile of parts into pure shooting gold.
