Equinsu OchaThanks, gents.
Got the lifesize cape back from the tannery now.
Just need to find the time to put him together.
Camera was a Sony w Zeiss 14mp. Nothing too expensive. It was wet everywhere & I didn't want to take anything high dollar up in those mtns.

That is a very nice goat, and a well-written and photographed report of the hunt.
Though I feel a lot of symapthy for the goat, most of all I feel admiration for the way you got him. Having lived in the Alberta rockies, I know there was a heap of work, and a fair amount of danger going up there (and back down, which always scared me more than going up did).
Anyway, my sincere congratulations. It's always nice to see reports from people physically in good shape who actually hunt successfully rather than just sit and snipe.
Good luck in I-can't-spell-it-stan!

Thank you for that. The country where those goats live is damned beautiful, steep & dangerous.
The hunt itself was picture perfect. I was EXTREMELY happy to have gotten a crack at this particular billy. Where he lived was just plain nuts!
It was a test just to reach where he lived on that range.
I already did the ibex hunt in "can't-spell-it-stan". I did a small pictorial in the Asian section upon my return.
It was something I'm glad I did, but damned sure in no rush to return.
My next mountain hunt will be a Canadian or AK grizzly.
