Many years ago I hunted at Courageous lake in the NWT for Central Barrenground Caribou with Fred Webb. Is hunting closed ? Any outfitters still working that area? I'm looking to go back but can't find out whats happening there.

Central Barrenground Caribou are closed to hunting in the NWT.

To hunt central barren ground caribou now you would have to go with an outfitter that has a camp in Nunavut or northern Manitoba. Of the two I would concentrate on Nunavut as northern Manitoba can be problematic at times if the caribou do not move until really late.
