I've got a Rock Island armory 1911 in .38 super which shoots fine and is utterly reliable. What would I need to do to switch it over to 9MM? Swap barrels and extractors or waht?

You might be able to get by w/ the 38super ext., new bbl. & mag & see how she runs.
