Federal 9mm Luger Tactical 135grain +p [bonded]
LEO Only ammunition

Where can I find a supplier. I am not LEO, but carry as a part of my job. Long story.

I need to find some of this ammo soon.

Why that particular ammo ?? Have you checked the tests of the various rounds ? Some of the bonded is not as good as claimed. See www.stoppingpower.net One of the standard pressure loads that has always performed well in tests and on the street is 115 gr Federal 9BP .Federal also has a 135 Hydra-Shok.

I need it for the weight and toughness. Expansion is second. I need them to be able to hold up on bone and hide as well as canvas clothing if needed.

i would look at double tap 147 gr. if your looking for a fast heavy bullet. or double tap 124gr or winchester 127gr +p+ will both outperform federal 135 gr. and easier to find

147 gn Hydra shoks. Made to expand after hitting heavy clothing, that's what the post is for.

A bad day at the range is better than a good day at work.

Corbon DPX is a 115 gr +P load which penetrates very well despite the weight which is true of typical all copper Barnes bullets.More penetration than that would be a FMJ. Most JHPs are designed for about 12" penetration in ballistic gelatin for defense [people] .
The 9mm is certainly not designed for bear .A 40 or 45 would be much better and the best of the autos would be the 10mm.

Problem is it has to be a 9mm, that is what we have to use...period.

It needs to be able to break the bones of a human, bear, cougar, large dog.

I had not noticed the DXP. If that bullet is as tough as the Barnes X-bullets I use in my 338 it would be awesome. In length, I wonder what the lead equivalent is? In the 338 I think the 185 X-bullet is equal to the 225 with a lead core.

DPX is a Barnes X bullet. DPX is noted for accuracy, reliable functioning, penetration and expansion.
