ruger gp-100
i am very pleased to report on this gp-100. what a nice handgun. i have been shooting 45's and 44's for so many years that i nearly didnt buy this little sleeper. she has a 6 inc barrel and when stoked with 125 gr win +p 38 special...this is like the old security-6 i used in wyo to hunt prairy hens and rabitts. what a neat gun this new gp-100 is.
i had an older s&w 686 in 6 inc barrel and hoped this would shoot like i remembered it to shoot. well i couldnt be happier and look forward to many grouse and rabbit filled days with this little package.

Ruger makes great stuff. Their warranty is good too, basically unconditional.

I have a Security Six, 7" bbl. 38/.357. One of my favorites, but not my only Ruger.

I had a 4" blued until the house was broke into. I replaced it with a 6" in blue because the only 4" I could find was stainless. The 6" shoots better, the 4" carried better. I'd like to get another 4" to go with the 6".

A bad day at the range is better than a good day at work.

Just bought a 6" in Stainless. Havn't shot it much yet, but my first box of 158Gr Lead realoads have shown it to be very accurate gun. I'm looking forward to a lot of pleasant shooting with it.

The 6 doesn't seem to flip as much. The longer sight radius seems to be helpful. I'm waiting for better weather. I've been tamed by Virginia winters. It's cold during February.

Yes, the 6 definately seems the way to go. I have an SP101 3" for carry, so for a full size i wanted the extra sight radius and velocity etc. I'm waiting for a non-wet day out here as well sam.

Since I already had 3 Rugers I bought a used S&W mod 19. Its ok but since I like hot loads, I should have gotten a GP100.

Ruger probably has warranty since everybody else has them.

I have no experience with their rifles.
