Colt 9mm Derringer
It says that you should shoot ball ammo only for derringers. Does this include Hollow Points?

If this is a modern Derringer I'd shoot just about any 9mm in it.

To answer your question specifically, "no". Hollow points are pretty much the opposite of ball.

But the recommendation seems to make no sense. The main reason for staying away from hollowpoints is that they sometimes have trouble feeding through a semi-auto's action. That is a non-issue with derringers. The lower velocities available from a short derringer's barrel(s) kind of make a hollowpoint's main reason for being (expansion) pointless, but that should be no bar to their use, vs ball or flat point.

I think the warning is to stop the use of +P and +P+ in them I don't know of any body loading +p ammo in a ball loading. except maybe some Milltary rounds.
