John Browning's Colt model 1911 turns the century mark
Gosh, has it really been 100 years already?
And I don't think his invention has been any more popular.

Let's see your examples of Browning's genius or clones. Here's my only 2:

Springfield Armory loaded model, 45ACP

Colt Government 380 model, 380ACP

Not only did he design the pistols, but their ammo too!

If we can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people, under the pretense of taking care of them, they must become happy. Thomas Jefferson, 1802

Looks like the special 100th Colt 1911's will be selling for a pretty penny if they ever get out of the distributers hands!!

Would love to get one!

I have a Springfield Mil Spec, and a Springfield "Loaded" Sub-Compact, 4", night sights.

Springfield just came out with another model, looks like a "Loaded" more or less. But I'm thinking Wilson Combat. Like I need another handgun.

ALLEN W. JOHNSON - DRSS

Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.
