elmo729I do not trust buying used in most cases unless I know the person who bought it NEW.

tsurifleguyThe S&W sigmas are around $300. Havent heard anything bad about them except that the trigger is heavy.

SR4759Both of my brothers have Sigmas.
One is a 40 and the other is a 9mm.
I think the 40 was bought about the time of the Clinton agreement fiasco for $279 and the 9mm was a few weeks ago for $259.

p dog shooterI have know several PDs that have had Sigmas prices of junk in my opinon.

Allan DeGrootwith most auto pistols being fed a steady diet of factory ammo I wouldn't worry much about a used pistol.
Then again my favorite toy store will let me field strip anything used that I'm interested in buying.
They have learned that people who wish to look
inside won't buy at all if they aren't allowed to look.

That pretty much sums up the opinion of the departments I did some work for. The Kansas City PD replaced all of theirs because they could not keep enough strikers in stock for the broken ones. I would try Ruger.

fredj338Yeah, you are goin got have to go used. A Ruger, S&W4006 or GLcok are probably your best bet for a $300 gun. They are out there. I bought a slightly used G26 @ auction in Dec. for $330.
