I have recently snapped up a great deal on a G34.
And the thing shoots great
( better than my old eyes, mostly )
So I am looking for input on 9 mm target reload data,
I belong to many reloading sites,
but none seems to address the best accuracy of the parbellum.

What say you?
What is your most accurate load?

9mm target loads are a law unto themselves. Best data I have found is on Bullseye forums, with 6.0-6.2 grs. Power Pistol and 115gr. JHP's. This works OK in my Kimber target 9mm but nothing to write home about. I am looking for 10 ring accuracy at 25 yards. haven't found it yet!

Lately we ( wife and I ) have been shooting 4.2-4.5 gn TiteGroup behind Berry's 115 Preferred HBRN-TP's

And just as you say, accuracy is ok. But I know the gun (and maybe even I ) can do better.
Anyone else ?

Tthe bullseye and bianchi cup guys generally use the Sierra or Zero 115 JHP. With either of htose I find N320 works pretty well. Put the least amount of crimp on them that you can get away with and not get bullet setback on feeding

many moons ago when i did alot of 2700 shooting i was curious why my mod 52 shot so well and the 39 didn't.. I thought that perhaps the load in the 52 would make the 39 more accurate so i loaded up some rounds with 2.7 grains of bullseye with a 147 bullet. This required a soft recoil spring to function, but it did increase accuracy quite a bit

from a Bullseye newsgroup:

For the 115 the load was 6.1 grs of Power Pistol....you might not like it! Based on your current loadings. Try pushing the Sierra a little faster, bump the 50 yard charge up to 5.0 of N330. If it still does not shoot, it could be the brass. Try Starline. If that does not work, it could be the gun."
Bear in mind that the Beretta 92 target guns have a much faster twist than standard 9mm barrels.

I have a mostly stock 92FS, with the barrel lined for better accuracy by Roddy Toyota. The only load data which I have is 4.8 grains of VV N330 with the Sierra "8115," 115 grain FMJ (.355 Dia). Using 4.4 or 4.5 grains of N330 for the short line. The crimp is .375 and the OAL is 1.1145. I want to try the Zero 125 grain FMJ and would like suggestions for amount of grains to use with VV N330. If anyone has used Alliant Power Pistol with the 115 and 125 grain bullets any suggestions on the amount of powder to use would also be helpful.""
Dave Sams and Roddy Toyota seem to be the gurus of 9mm bullseye shooting. dave Sams is the one who recommended the 6.0-6.2 PP load.

I use 4.2 grns of Titegroup & a 115 grn plated RN as an overall plinking/target shooting load. It gave me a 1087 fps average in a Beretta 92.

What level of accuracy are we trying to get@25 yds?

In my case I expect 10 ring accuracy from a rest at 25 yards. X ring would be better in a target 9mm. I do not use my 9mm for Bullseye shooting for that reason. Custom guns either in a 1911 or Beretta with KKM barrels, properly fitted etc. will give that X ring accuracy.

I've been throwing some 9mm loads together with 115 JHP on top of Blue Dot and the velocity is great.

Accuracy is about average.....1" groups at 200 yards!!!!! TIC

Don't forget about Bullseye for 9mm target loads, it is very accurate as is 231. The most accurate 9 bullets are the Hornaday and Sierra 115 hollow points. Use enough powder to get them to 1130-1150 fps. If you can find someone making the 122-124 flat point hard cast bullets they are a very close second.
