all these rifle guys talk about how to clean their rifles;my problem is my pistols(auto &revolver)imay shoot 100 rounds or more at a time .these guns foul wayyy quicker than my rifles.my xd is only 3 months old and the other day i cleaned the bore and could see copper in the rifling.at least i could take the barrel out and soak it in a bowl with some solvent.

fredj338The diff. jig is we aren't looking for or can even get gilt edge accuracy from our pistols. I've shot pistols in competition for 400-500rds straight w/o cleaning. i would never do that w/ a rifle, but then again I am shooting the rifle out to 300yds & beyond, the pistol, 50tds would be a long shot. My hunting pistols get cleaned every 100rds or so.

RustyI do the same as Fred! Shoot my XD several hundred rounds w/o cleaning. When I do clean it I use Sweets to get the copper out!
