Did fair amount of reading about the subject pistol and most were negatives, didn't listen, bought the thing and can tell you it was a total disaster!! Factory hardball, should run like a sewing machine, failed to feed every attempt made. Would get two to three rounds off and then jam big time. Figured just needed "breaking in..." and proceeded to shoot some 25 times with constant hang ups and then decided to just load 3 in mag and see what happened(old story that clips can cause lots of problems in autos) and good thing I did only load three for it went full auto! Field stripped and inspected and could see no reason for behavior and tried again to shoot and this time as slide went forward, SLAM FIRE and extractor blew out and safety/switch lever broken. Boxed it up, took back to store for refund and no problem doing that and decided I would get a real CCW in the form of a Glock Model 36/45ACP. I did like the overall "feel" of the pistol and seemingly well made, but not so. I am sure others have and find their PPK's just fine, but no more for me even though I always figured the little pistol was the "Rolex" of small pistols. Hope the Glock is as reliable as reported by lots of owners and even though I find the Glock not a handsome design, if it works well, beauty is in performance. Just to let you know of a sad experience with a Walther PPK S&W version. Any others out there with bad experiences?? Any Glock 36 users would appreciate hearing of your experience with them.

Sorry can't tell you about the 36 but my last 23 ran like a dream.
The ONLY semi auto that I have ever owned that never jammed on me EVER..
True they are not pretty, but they are an excellent tool.

Kind of like a leatherman, sort of ugly but ever so handy to have around when you need something done.

I held a ppk for the first time last week. It was priced NIB for $649 I believe. I thought fit and finish looked very nice, BUT my opinion was it was about $200 overpriced. I told the guy at the counter, who agreed with me, but his boss got one in anyway. I think it might sit there a while.
