full moon clips
I have a pair of S&W mod. 66 revolvers and I am interested in having them adapted to accept full moon clips. Is this a difficult operation and can someone suggest a gunsmith for the procedure? About what should it cost?

If your parents didn't have any children chances are you won't either.

I'd check with Gemini Customs to see if they will do the work. They do a lot of moon-clip conversions... The biggest issue is making sure someone actually makes the clips...

Personaly, I wouldn't ruin a nice M66 by full mooning it. Sell them to someone that wants a nice M66 & buy a current S&W & do that. Me, I really see little point in spendiing the money, but it can be done. For carry, speed loaders are fine & for competition, again, ruining the value of a good M66 should be avoided.

I bought a spare cylender and 12 full moon clips for my 629 from a lad on the forum a couple of years back. Works superbly, and am very happy with it. Go to
