XDs First Time
Just got an XDs and it felt good in the hand and shot well, even though the sights are goofy and it shot 4" left and 4" low at 10 yards. Have to deal with the sights sometime.

The XDs is just another Glock knock-off, with an identical trigger feel and reset. It has a convenient ambidextrous mag release. Mags seem well made.

With the smaller back grip it feels good in the hand and shoots quite well from the hip, pointing pretty naturally. I figure there won't be enough time to take a two-hand hold and triangular stance in a 2-second gun fight. Smiler

Easy recoil. Folks that complain about the recoil of a 45 auto have never shot an 8 lb. 458 Lott!

Naturally pointing with one hand, and from the hip, a good grip feel, easy recoil and about 75 rounds of Tula and Rem UMC 230 gr FMJ with no hiccups whatsoever.

It's a keeper.

I haven't put many rounds through mine yet but love the feel and natural point.

I found that due to the shorter grip I was pushing down when firing. Everything was low by about 4 inches at 21 yds. That corrected with a little practice.

Night sights are the only upgrade I want to make.

I just traded for an XDM 45, 5.25 Comp.

My buddy has an XD in 40 S&W. Very nice! He is from Croatia and loves the "Made in Croatia" stamp.

I got on the XD bandwagon early.
Shoots good, sights are great. Even the trigger isn't bad for a tupperware gun.

Like my XDM in 9mm, on my night stand, like the 19 shot mag. However my real Go to is my 1911 I rebuilt. Only thing factory is the frame and grip. That's my baby, point, squeaze and bang, flop!

Got an XDs for Christmas ... first short range visit was very encouraging!

Have lots of 1911 experience and a well established muscle memory hold so recoil was not objectionable at all.

I think this one is a keeper for a companion carry piece.
