We were visiting the Mother-in-law last week and she came in and dropped a box in my lap. Said they she didn't even know her husband had owned a pistol

What was in the box as a 1982 Ruger Std MKI pistol. Based on the serial number is was within 100 of the last built before the MkII. It is a 6" STD in the box all papers and as of todate never been fired.

The wife can't wait to get it to the range. Her dad has been gone for about 5 years and this means a lot to her.
