leoparddog1911 in 40S&W?
Who makes a 1911 style pistol in the 40S&W caliber? I already have a couple of other 40S&W pistols and have decided that I have no interest in adding 45ACP to my inventories.
Springfield armory makes one in 10mm which as you know is just a 40's Daddy.
Custom job however and going to be pricey,, about $3000 or better.
I also believe that Kimber was going to be making one, perhaps they are by now.
You could check their website, and they will not be so darn expensive.
I though have not been real impressed with Kimber lately.

308matePara, Springfield, STI, Tangfoglio most of them are aimed at the IPSC market.
Recent American gun mags showed a Barstow (the barrel maker) in 40 S&W. It wasn't a "true" 1911, since it is a high capacity model. But it looked well made.

I confused the city with the barrel maker of the same place (now in 29 Palms). Sorry, correction made. Here's a link:

Or buy the Springfield in 10mm or the Kimber Eclipse and have BarSto fit a 40 S&W barrel to it. Two barrels and the option to have a moderate recoil pistol and an almost magnum. Or a previously owned Colt Delta Elite in 10mm and do the same thing, although Colt says the pistol is back in production. What the heck, have a 357 SIG barrel fitted while your at it.
