SnowwolfeIf the stock on my 450/400 looks anywhere near as nice as this count me a happy camper

Love the classic lines to it.

Bob that is a simple fix, just shoot the rifle upside down...

Actually I think you can get the stock in left hand at no extra charge.

You can. Heym will also built it with the left trigger up front for no charge. Something Merkel will not do otherwise I would of tried one of their rifles.

Yes, it is. The red-dot option has been very popular since we introduced it with the special mount we had made for the rib.
Be sure to stop by the booth in Dallas and Vegas, as we'll have some more options to debut for those of us with "aging eyes."

Lhook7The only reason I am happy about not being able to go to DSC this year is that Chris will not be able to tempt me in person with one of these!

Keep improving the look and I may be tempted!

FjoldChris, since you changed the stock shape can you show the before amd after? (Hopefully at a similar angle.)

Philip A.Fully agree with the changes, wish they had these when I bought my 88B!
The original side panels are in the way of the trigger finger, totally against "form follows function". I modified mine in order to have a natural grip (it changes the looks slightly, but that was not the aim). The ones on the new stock shown by Chris seem to be just right.
Also, I had to stone a slight radius on the action's strait lines: they were so sharp that you could almost cut paper with it... The new rounded bottom sides are much more user-friendly.
Before
Note how much wood protrudes above the metal, got rid of that too and just left a duct-tape thickness. Much neater.
Side panel as issued
After
Side panel recontoured, now the index can reach the trigger going "around the grip", without having to clear an awkward square step from the side panel
Compare the "new" with the "old" grip...
The original felt akin to holding a 2x4 with a trigger, no disrespect.

new_guyEverything is loaded up now for the DSC show, so I can't get side-by-side photos for a week or so.
As Philip suggests, the side panels have been shortened in both height and length.
Wood is not as proud either.
Stop by the booth in Dallas and look them over first-hand.
We've also put a new "matte" finish on the "PH" receiver. I think you'll all like that too.
