I think most people have seen my Verney Carron 500NE in the classifieds. I plan to have Ken Buch list it for me on GI in the next week or so when we can get better pics.

In the meantime, I thought I'd check in to see if anyone has a small-medium bore DR you'd be interested in working a trade on. I'd consider anything in the 7x65R to .375 range, preferably rimmed by a good maker: V-C, Heym, etc. Still wouldn't mind a nice BPE, but nothing that fits the bill has come up yet.

Thanks Paul. I do appreciate all the public and private suggestions re my glaucoma management. If it were a simple matter of sitting tight on this rifle til I could get my glaucoma treated I would. Fact of the matter, I'm additionally contending with some pretty bad arthropathies in my hands-it was tough just brushing my teeth today. All this stems from my ulcerative colitis and the courses of steroids I've had to take. Some of the sx,like the arthopathy waxes and wanes but I've got to find something that is a pussycat to shoot, but still a neat rifle.


I'm in no rush for the funds and happy to let someone buy this, or pay the difference on a trade over the next 6 months or so. The $ will most likely go into another rifle though, hence my interest in striking a trade off the bat. Must be someone out there looking to get into a great big bore?
