Caliber .30-06, and 20 gauge... a wonderful balance for North America. Regulation is with 200 grain bullets after the additon of the claw mounts. (I would have paid extra had I known!) Factory rifles were regulated with 150 grain bullets FYI.

N E 450 No2I have handled some of those Browning rifle/shotgun 2 bbled sets. They are nice, especially when the rifle bbls are scoped.
I would work up a load with a "soft" 200 gr bullet for deer sized game and a "harder" 200 grain bullet for bigger stuff.

mstarlingVery, very nice!
Actually, the regulation with 200's makes it into a rifle for things that bite back! Not a bad idea actually.
Congratulations! Enjoy ...

In 1982 I spent my wad on an engagement ring. The next year I spent it on this rifle/shotgun. Eight years later I took it to Africa with some 200 grain solids that Jack Carter had personally made for this rifle. In the end the Barnes original (soft) and the Nosler partition (hard)roundnoses won out... Fortunately I still have some of the solids, but haven't taken it back to Africa as yet. The rifle shoots exceptionally well after some help from the members of the forum.

308SakoRusty, I am so sorry to have to admit to being a displaced Yankee. Currently seasonally residing is Las Vegas, sans most toys. It's a long story. If you know "Harry" ask him about his guide for his tripple on woodchucks many years ago. It is possible that if reincarnation exists that I could have been a Texan!

ozhunterI could just imagine carrying that rifle along the Bubi River in Zimbabwes Lowveldt for plains game then off to a feed lot for bit of Bird shooting.

JPKVery neat combo. I have a friend who has one and loves it. I am covetous. I have looked but haven't been able to come up with a nice combo in good condition.
