beautiful rifle, but priced just $500 less than the field grade double it is going to be a hard sale to hunters. Texas oilmen millionaires like Rusty; he'll probably have a couple matched pairs shortly!!

I'm going to cash in some of my Global Crossing stock and get me one.

Actually, buying such a rifle is about having a beautiful piece of functioning art, I reckon. I'd sure like to have one. I'd be cheaper than most girlfriends and wouldn't talk back.

What do these things weigh?I would imagine that some of the larger calibers would certainly wake you up (or put you to sleep)! Interesting that the bolt rifles cost the same as the Clasic doubles, both $18K.

I am undoubtly a majority of one but I think these are the LEAST attractive of ALL the single shot actions commonly available today. By that I mean specifically the Sharps,Ruger,Winchester/Browning. The quality of the example shown is no doubt beyond excellant and the entire rifle is superbly done without a question, but to me the ACTION is just plain not nice lines period.
