MJinesCabelas Buda - Hollis
Swung by Cabelas on the way back from the DRSS shoot. They had a Hollis double that looked very nice. The tag was labeled .450/.400 and .470, not sure what is up with that. It was right at $20K. I did not have time to have them pull it out. The gun is not listed on the internet. Just passing along the info . . .
I believe that is the gun that John Maples rebarrelled. I think the 450-400 is original and the 470 is the new, but I may have it reversed. 400 Nitro will know. Bob
I drooled all over it on Sat. It has a set of 400 barrels with claw mounts. The 470 barrels are on the gun. very nice looking gun but alas the piggy bank does not have 20 k in there.

Nice gun I think it might be off face though. I'll have to get back by and look at it again.

400 Nitro ExpressYeah, it's an A. Hollis & Son .450/.400 3". John has added a second set of .470 barrels since the last time I saw it. It sure wasn't off face when I saw it last.

Even if it were off face a little that is usually a cheap fix! Unfortunantly, I'm banking in the same kind of piggy as ELS!

Paolo9,5x73Say, how do they come out with prices for their inventory? A magician's hat full of small folded sheets of paper comes to mind!
