John HipwellHowdah Rifle
Potts. Hayden Square, London. 10 Gauge percussion Howdah rifle with 20 inch barrels. Originally made for an Indian Prince with gold inlay, at some time the gold was removed and now refinished with gold leaf.
Ok, nice rifle; so how does it shoot? With percussion caps and black powder. No, how does it group, I mean.

Nice rifle! I wish you had this when working on my book. But, the book will go to the printers in a couple of weeks. Maybe volume 2?
Cheers,
Cal

I hadn't considered selling her at this time, but feel free to make me an offer. I was planning to use her in our next muzzel loading deer season, I think she should handle a White Tail with no problem.

a.tinkererJohn-
Go kill some dinner with it this season.
I have a custom flintlock hunting rifle nearing delivery and a .30 caliber double rifle deal in the works. It'll be a bit before I qualify to take possession of your handy little 10bore.
It's a good thing it's in your hands and not on the market!
I'll catch up with you on the telephone when I get some time away from work.
If this gets me in front of the line I'm happy - can't wait to see how it runs for you this deer season.
Cheers
