BLE pre war how much?

BrettAKSCIBLE pre war how much?
I'm looking into buying my first double. I would like a pre war box lock ejector, but I'm weighing the options between buying a classic and having a modern bespoke weapon like the London Rigby or Heym. I realize it depends on the name and contition, but how much do you figure a pre war English box lock ejector would run? 18K up? 20k up? 25k up? I was thinking .450NE 3.25", but .450-.500 would be fine. Any thoughts on having a pre war English rifle as opposed to a bespoke modern rifle would be appreciated as well. Thanks.

May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

BiebsWow, that is a great deal...especially for George! He must have called in sick the day they put that one out. Webley action and all....Nice!!!

NitrodaveThis is a very nice double...I have handled it. No engraving at all, but case colors are by the "Master" Doug Turnbull. This is a great price for a 1906 English made 450NE.

BrettAKSCII spoke with George today and he said it wouldn't be a good fit for someone like me that would shot it a lot. It has a lot of miles through it. He figured about another 1000 rounds were left on the barrel. It makes more sense to spend a little more and have a rifle that will last a lot longer and retain value.

N E 450 No2Brett
For your first double, that you will probably shoot a lot, do take a look at the Heym.
They are very well made guns.
Either a 450/400 or a 450 3 1/4" would be my personal choice.
