News from B. Searcy Co.
I want to invite all to visit me in Dallas this year to see my new Screw Grip action. After the first of the year I will have a slight price increase because all the actions will be made on the Screw grip design, except the Rising Bite of course. Yes even the Field Grade will be on the Screw Grip design.
With in a month or so I'll have pictures of it posted on this forum.
I know there will be questions, but email or call me because in all honesty I very seldom check the PM's here.searcy@ccis.comPhone: 760-762-6131

My Churchill 500 is built on the great Webley Screw Grip action. They are wonderful!
Great work Butch! I love to see the proven designs of the past brought back, so more people can enjoy them.

Commonly known as one Made by Webley and Scott.

one of THE best DR Boxlock actions ever made.
the other being the Webley and Scott PHV1.

Screw Grip Action were also made in Sidelocks
but are most commonly seen in Boxlocks.

Easiest QUICK WAY TO TELL ONE IS
The third bite that comes back into the action has a small semi circle out the back of it which intersecs with the Toplever spindle.

Have a look at the Champlin Arms web site www.champlinarms.com and go through the list. He often highlights the Screw Grip and PHV1 Actions and has pictures as well so you can see them all at the same time.

Roscoe,

If you read this. I was curious as to what size action the Lancaster 280 Flanged N.E. is built on, 12ga or 20ga size, or what is the width across the standing breach.

Quite a jewel that one......

Mine is already on order in .375 H&H flanged magnum. It is due to deliver on or before 15 September 2012. It is one of the first two Butch is building.

With any kind of luck and diligence, I'll be getting my .375 H&H flanged in Butch's first rising bite action in that caliber next month dancing
