jacAnderson Wheeler Double Rifles
Does anyone own or know much about the Anderson Wheeler double rifles? The few pictures of their boxlock doubles that I saw looked very nice. I saw an old forum that said they were made on VC barrelled actions?Anyone have any idea what price their box locks start at? Thanks

lockingblockI'm interested in this as well. Their website is a bit vague...but their reputation is solid.
Speculation would be that their guns are built by local tradesmen and then finished to their specs...

BiebsThey're Verney Carrons with some additional niceties, like a VC with options and a different name.

sambarman338Is that the brand used in the James Bond movie two or three years ago?

RockdocYes. Skyfall.
IIRC they made it so well it didn’t recoil!

cal pappasYes, the AW double was in the Bond film. The company had a book about it. I saw it at DSC but didn't buy a copy. Wish I had.
The rifles are VC metal but stocked in England I was told. Quite nice rifles at half the cost of a traditional English box lock. They also make side locks in the UK but the prices are as high as expected.

bwanamrmI believe I heard they had closed their shop in London...
On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!

I have been corrected. AW rifles are 100% made by VC and the only work done other was to have the proof marks applied in the UK. This is an eye-opener.

And he knows "they're" as opposed to there or their!!! I'll bet he knows "you're" and "your" too!!!!!
