Went to a friend's ranch over the weekend to help them do a little culling.
Took this 6-year old with the little 7x65.

No, they do not get a tattoo, but the ranch has a full-time wildlife biologist that ages and scores all the deer they kill. He said it was 6 & 1/2 years old (based on the fact that deer are born in the spring). I did not question his assessment.
