C&H on the way back
Well, almost.
Just got back from the Philippines yesterday and had a message on my machine from J.J. about my C&H 475 NE.
As some may recall I was having problems getting the rifle to shoot to regulation, despite trying several loads. So I sent it off to J.J. a several weeks ago.
Called him this morning. He says that the wedge was loose. When he pulled it, it had some corrosion on and about it. So he had to re-regulate the rifle.
He also replaced the post front site with a brass bead. Couldn't do a flip-up as the dovetail wouldn’t allow it.
J.J. also said that the rifle shoots well, if the shooter does everything right. But it's very sensitive to canting, etc...
As I said, it’s almost on its way back. I'm only in town for a day, then off to San Jose, CA for a week or so (home on the week-end). So I've asked him to hold it for a bit until I can be sure to be around for a while to be here to sign for it.
Can't wait!!

Sorry to hear about your problems, Steve. You most certainly did the right thing sending it to JJ.

400 Nitro ExpressIf J. J. reregulated it, it will shoot well. He's good at it.
