clayman216Good report - I have had mine (450NE) since Feb.
and its been a real pleasure. Regulated well, shoots good, triggers are fine as is, solidly built with great wood. I wish they would add a few more calibers in thier lighter model - I WOULD BE RIGHT ON IT !

h kittleWhat scope did you use?

dpcdI just slapped a Tasco 30mm titan I had on a Marlin. Those were better made than many Tascos and are no longer made. I will eventually put a better one on it, maybe.

JCS271.450NE owner myself, is turning out to be a great rifle with the exception of the cheesy butt pad. Replaced that with one from Limbsaver and all is now well!

dpcdIt was asked if installing the mercury recoil reducer affected the balance; it moved the CG one inch back just at the front of the receiver on the .450. Actually improved the balance and reduced recoil.

collectorI was at Cabelas today and my eyes just popped out when I saw the price tag on a beautiful .470 NE double. Stopped in my tracks and inspected the gun closely, then I thought maybe someone forgot to put a digit before the 5 or maybe a digit after the 0....upon close inspection I found the "Sabatti" name engraved. Looked like a nice gun (engraving is probably machined) but at that price I may pick one up. Thanks for the report...definitely giving it serious thought....however instead of a scope I am thinking about putting a Reddot on it.

jazI have looked at these rifles and also believe they are very good values. How about the .375?
It will be here soon. That caliber seems so useful if intended to use in North America.
Thoughts?

collector@dpcd,
When you get a chance can you please check with your friend the make and model of the Red-dot and what kind of base he is using ? Thanks in advance.

dpcdHe has a Sightron red dot type sight with a standard Weaver base mounted on the quarter rib. 33mm rings came with it.

jorgeCan some of you 450 owners share some handloads please? I'm having a slight cross over issue with factory loads that I know I can fix by slowing down the load a bit. jorge

RustyCongrats on our new rifle. I think you will find that a Burris FastFire or something similar makes a great sight!

Jorge, you are correct, if the bullets are crossing and a little low the load is too fast.
