I agree with Mac, the way the question is worded, we need to be able to select more than one answer.
Perhaps a companion poll, such as "In which country was your current FAVORITE double rifle made?
My country gal's just a moonshiner's daughter, but I love her still.

Clearly MacD37 is right, there is more than one AR - DRSS member with too many doubles... sadly I am not one of them!

You're right--I wasn't thinking about the guys that have several of these things! If I edit the poll it will forfeit all the answers so far. Think we should start it over with other options or answers?
13 February 2007, 07:04
MacD37Don't edit this one simply start another one with more than one choice! I have doubles from Germany, UK, Italy, and Japan right now!

MarrakaiNo suffering here, I just tick 'UK'!

My DRs are all pommie built. I just prefer the classic lines of British guns over 'Continental', but fully appreciate the high standard of most European workmanship. Never seen a Searcy in the flesh, and wouldn't want to see a Cal-Rigby for fear of bursting into tears.

Good one, SPRING! As you can tell, I'm a fair trade advocate! If it fits, and it shoots where I point it, and has the right chamber, for the price, I'm origin blind!

Remington40xGerman guild gun dated 1926 chambered for .250-3000. Regulated for a 120 grain load (no, I don't know why this load shoots to point of aim while the 87 grain factory loads for which the rifle was proofed do not).
Needs a scope, since my aging eyes won't let me shoot irons at any distance anymore. No bases on the rifle, so I'd have to get them installed. Lot of money for a rifle I paid $3500 for initially and I'm not sure I'd get it back.

UK would win by a long way if you could vote more than once.

Double Rifles often regulate with lighter bullets than they were proofed for. I have a number of DR's that I can shoot lighter bullets in than was intended.
