Old DRs new Bullets
Been loading Woodleigh 480s in my 1905 Gibbs 450NE. Thinking of trying Hornady's DGX and DGS as I think that the DGX is a better constructed bullet then the Woodleigh Soft (please somebody correct me if I'm wrong). I am under the impression that the thickness of the guilding on the hornadys is adequate enough to protect older barrels from the steel jackets. Any advice will be greatly appreciated

Zephyr,

Look at the work Michael458 and I have done on the Double Rifle Bullet of the Future thread here in Double Rifle section. We did lots of tests of different bullet in a 470 double.
