lavacaI want one badly as a shooter. Just missed on a sale due to technical problems on the other end. But I'd buy one. Need's a separate cilyndre for .45. The clips to allow shooting .45 ACP would be cheaper. Can you do Both?

lavacaTwo cylinders are needed. One, a .455 and another a cylinder that will accommodate at .45 ACP with half moon clips.
That's the historical value of the firearm.

jorgeI would avoid 45ACP rounds as they are too hot for the Webley. Instead load 45 Auto Rim loaded to 455 velocities.

N E 450 No2I have an original "Webley", well actually it is a MkVI Enfield, dated 1926. These are supposed to be the strongest of the Webley design. Mine has been converted to 45 ACP. It shoots as good as a S&W.
I have shot this Enfield quite a bit. It is a very well made well designed Combat Revolver.
If in a remote area and I could not get a good 1911,I would not hesitate to use a "Webley".

As a side note the Colt SAA will also not pass the drop test.

How does Uberti get their SAA reproductions into the US then? I've read that they are almost exact duplicates of the originals.

KebcoI would assume that they pass the hammer drop test, the org Colt will not.
Many years ago I found some 1st & 2nd generation Colts in Europe, ATF denied my request.

Norsk, I thought the same as you. However after owning one I must say that the Webley/Enfield is a pretty good piece of Kit. I have been impressed with it. I would not hesitate to protect my life with the one I have.
